We were treated like royalty, from a surprise serenade of violin as I walked down the aisle, to a private 5 course dinner enjoying an exceptional Orkney sunset. Ours was a tiny affair, just the bride and groom, but we found new life long friends of Moira, Alastair, her husband and videographer, and daughter, Cheryl, who took some amazing photographs!
Planning an event from California to Orkney was a breeze e-mailing back and forth to Moira. It made my day to see a note from her waiting for me. She coordinated our car rental, ordered flowers and our cake, hand crafted photos and a wedding album, met us at the airport and chauffeured us on various pre-ceremony errands. She graciously went beyond the call of duty to provide us not only a wedding of a lifetime, but an entire Orkney experience we will treasure forever.
We stayed on the island two weeks, all at bed and breakfast locations hand selected and recommended by Moira from Stromness to Kirkwall. It has been six weeks since our Orkney Adventure and I still feel an uncanny exuberant high…it was sheer heaven! The beauty of the land, sea and sky coupled with all the plans and details Moira initiated and created for us were spectacular.
